An experiment and Windows 7

Well I have not been able to get my Quad core computer up and running since my move to Minnesota. So I've been running on an older p4 I acquired from "Freecycle" Its better than nothing and as always its helped me discover new things and the limits I can push the hardware to. So Anyway, I have Win 7 on my main Computer and o this older hardware I had to go back to XP (Or so I thought) Now Vista is VERY resource hungry and despite the "recommended" 1 GB of ram most now know you need at least 2 GB for it to be remotely usable. Windows 7 is much more flexible in that regard as I have it running on only 512mb of ram. I had to of course cut off all the visual bells and whistles and other things that made me love Win 7. Still there were little things that it had over XP and Vista that I still missed enough to try this. I am not suggesting this for everyone, but if your on a computer chugging along slowly with Vista its is well worth the Investment for you to switch to Windows 7 and be more productive with whatever it is you do with your computer!

Welcome!

welcome to anyone who is taking the time to check this out. I hope for this to be a where I can help people learn more about tech and get some help with an issue they may be having. Also give my views on different tech issues and software/hardware I use. Comments are welcome as long as they are relevant.
